Paxton’s First Communion on Pentecost

What a blessing to our parish to celebrate the First Communion on Pentecost of young Paxton Cissell! Paxton has prepared with Fr. Luis and has studied at home with his mother, using the Baltimore Catechism. The oldest of four, we look forward to seeing his younger siblings make their first communions in the coming years! Paxton is also the cousin of 3 more Poirier family siblings who attend St. Elizabeth’s, so we will have many more joyful First Communions to celebrate together!

Thank you to Fr. Luis for the very beautiful homily which threaded together the different generations and experiences of our Catholic family. Thank you also to Fr. Luis, the choir and St. Elizabeth’s Guild for the music and reception following mass at St. Hubert’s.

Younger sisters Tatum and Riiley Rose look on as Paxton is ready to receive his First Communion. Such a special day for a child, such special graces received and such hope and joy for our parish to see this beautiful family growing in faith.

Our young guests were so eager to enjoy the cake they couldn’t wait for tables and chairs to be set up!
