Safety Protocol for future St. Elizabeth and St. Colman Outdoor Churches Opening

June 8, 2020 Thank you to those who complied with our request to register. To those who complained please watch Fr. Luis’ Monday Chat. Regarding who gets the information: at this time it is kept by the volunteers so that we can contact attendees if there is an outbreak. If there were a large number of attendees who got sick, we expect either the state or county health agency might request our records. Our records only show your name, email phone and address, which the government already has. The other information is the date(s) you attended mass.

June 5, 2020: Dr. Sundari Mase, Sonoma County Health Officer confirmed that churches can now open within guidelines, including limitations of attendees to 100 people or 25% of building capacity (whichever number is smaller.) The complete order of the health officer is presented here:

June 1, 2020

At this time St. Elizabeth Outdoor Church is not offering any masses, in compliance with Sonoma County Health requirements. We are requesting special consideration to open ONLY the outdoor churches of St. Elizabeth in Guerneville and St. Colman in Cazadero, as our outdoor churches offer the opportunity to say masses in a safe way. We are requiring all attendees to pre register on Eventbrite so we can trace them if there is an outbreak; attendance is limited to 49 seats spaced more than 6 ft apart; we have sanitized the pews and the grounds are freshly dressed with shavings; we are providing masks and hand sanitizer.
