This page is under construction. Thank you for your patience.

Thursdays 7:00  PM to 9:00 PM

This prayer group is a small group (about a dozen people) who pray together on Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 PM. Some people who work arrive later. Rosary, Songs accompanied by guitar and prayers are offered. Service is in Spanish but even if you don’t speak a word of Spanish you will be able to understand the service and open your heart to God directly, in the charismatic tradition. Unburden your heart, speak to your loving father and feel God’s love, come and see for yourself!

In past years we have enjoyed beautiful expressions of the culture and faith of Mexico in Our Lady of Guadalupe Feasts. Here are some videos to enjoy, showing the Mariachi Mass and the Tamale Feast after mass.

Mass and Tamale Dinner
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass

The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrates the appearance of Our Lady to Juan Diego on Dec. 9, 1531. She asked him to ask the bishop to build a church on the site, and left her impression on his tilma to assist him in proving to the bishop his vision was real. See http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/liturgicalyear/calendar/day.cfm?date=2012-12-12 This is a joyous feast that starts wtih 4:00 AM Mañanitas a la Virgen.

Last year, Pope Francis sent beautiful golden roses to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City

“Our hearts more than our heads know the debt of love we owe you,” the cardinal said to the Blessed Mother. “This is why we beg you to receive from us a special gesture of grateful love.”

He prayed that the rose remind the Virgin Mary of “the gold, frankincense, and myrrh offered by the magi who once hastened to the manger to adore the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”

Note the class clown in the back of the church! I am sure God is smiling as this colorful, songful group processes out into the dark winter’s night, lighting up the streets with music and joy. On to the Tamale Feast!!!

TAMALE FEAST PART 1

The merry crowd now enters St. Hubert’s Hall where bouquets of roses are laid before the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mariachi music fills the room and steaming trays of tamales magically appear! This night of exuberant joy and love continues.

TAMALE FEAST PART 2

The feasting continues with songs of joy. The party ends early as the day started at 4:00 AM
