As soon as it is safe we will be announcing the new date for our annual Rummage Sale. We continue our prayers for all our parishioner’s health and safety during this difficult time. We had the best Christmas Dinner ever!!! Dec. 13 we served 80 roast beef, mashed potatoes, beans, salad and cheese cake dinners in St. Hubert’s Hall. Freshly painted, the hall sparkled with decorations done by Janis Brown.

St. Elizabeth’s Guild offers fellowship and service to the church and community. We invite you to join us! Our meetings are open to the public; members’ dues are $12.00 per year. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00 at St. Hubert’s Hall. The meetings are open to the public, you are welcome to attend and check us out!
The Guild hosts two rummage sales per year, in June and October. The sales provide gently used clothing at an affordable price for the local community. Small furniture, household items and working electronics are also popular items. If you have items to donate, contact Jan Brown or Joe Torres at (707) 604-7386 to make an appointment to unlock the hall basement and store your items. Proceeds from the rummage sales are used to support the church and the community.
UPDATE OCT 5, 2014: We are so happy to report we earned nearly $2,900 at our Rummage Sale this week end. A huge than you to our volunteers, donors, and buyers: Volunteers and donors included Fran Korn, Guild President, Joe Torres, Janis Brown, Guild Vice President, Ken and Jean Koutz, Guild Treasurer, Mary Ann Gustafson, Patty Mannick, Zoe Manzo, Vera Bohan, Carlos Gonzales, Charlie Arata, Anna Maria Cabrina, Gina Asaro Busalicchi, Margaret McAtee, Irene Deem, and Joan Brown. Please let me know if I have forgotten anyone.
We would also like to stress that the fund raising isn’t the only purpose of the sale; over the years we have built a large customer base, some of whom are needy, and we take great care to find the right items for them – nice warm winter jackets and jammies, new baby clothes, etc. It is a fun event and we get lots of complements on our merchandise. We are very selective and provide only clean, functional items.
Again, we encourage parishioners to join the Guild or volunteer for one of our fund raisers, or service projects! Call the office and leave a message (707) 869-2107 and we will return your call!
St. Elizabeth’s Guild also works with St. Vincent de Paul’s Society and the Salvation Army at the Russian River Food Pantry, a service agency of the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Food is distributed at the Guerneville Community Church. Collection baskets are in the foyers of St. Elizabeth’s and the mission churches of St. Catherine of Siena in Monte Rio and St. Colman’s in Cazadero.

Each month one member serves as “Sunshine Lady” and sends encouragement cards to members who have illness or challenges. Another member hosts the meeting with a dessert and coffee served after the meeting. For new parishioners, the Guild is a great volunteer group to help get to know the parish and to help out with parish and community projects.
St. Elizabeth’s Guild invites you to join us after the 9:00 AM Outdoor Mass at St. Elizabeth’s in Guerneville. We serve coffee, savories and pastries at no charge. We welcome you to St. Elizabeth’s Parish!
